Research and Planning: 'The Ring' Film Poster

The design of the title of this film poster in a way mirrors how I want mine to be. I would like a picture or pictures of the victim in the title to show how infatuated the villain is with the victim.

Research and Planning: Audition Casting Poster

My group and myself decided to make an audition poster, the picture on it shows exactly what genre the film is so it will attract people interested in being in this type of film/trailer. The pictures above show the various places we decided to put the poster.

Research and Planning: Film Magazine Analysis 2

This film magazine focuses more on the narrative rather than the actual actor in the film even though they are mentioned they are not a big part of the cover- they are just mentioned in the small paragraph above. The film 'Sleepy Hollow' is the biggest part of text excluding the masthead. The fact that one character is male and the other is female suggests that their is romance involved and also the orange tinge implies that the film is set in the past. The colour white used for the masthead is unusual as big more bold and bright colours however it ay have been used to match the theme of the film. The target audience of this magazine seems to be for older teenagers/ young adults and maybe people that have a keen interest in film as this magazine never seems to be sold in commercial shops.

Research and Planning: Film Magazine Analysis 1

The masthead is the biggest text on the cover as the aim for it is to stand out, the second biggest font size on the cover is 'HANNIBAL' it is also capitalised as it is the main cover story. The picture of the star shows him in character, this can suggest that he is well known and everyone will recognise him. On the other hand, this edition may only be aimed at fans of this film series however the other stories on the cover suggest that this magazine has a wide audience. For example, the Harry Potter story also suggests that this magazine is aimed at children and teenagers as apposed to the more adult film. The colours red and white go well together and suggest danger, the red tinge over the picture also suggests this. The other cover stories that I have not mentioned are a very small font which can make it seem as though they are not relevant and the other stories are more important. The tagline for this magazine 'the UK's No.1 movie magazine' implies that this magazine is the best of all of the film magazine and is a good way to market the magazine. The word 'HANNIBAL' suggests cannabalism and the phrase 'back for one last bite' gives the audience a hint of what the film is about.
