Hello,
This is my A2 Media Blog that I documented my work on when making my film trailer, poster and magazine. I started my research and planning in June 2012 and I continued this throughout the production of my products which I began in November 2012.
I hope you enjoy looking through my blog, thank you :)

Research and Planning: Film Magazine Analysis 1
The masthead is the biggest text on the cover as the aim for it is to stand out, the second biggest font size on the cover is 'HANNIBAL' it is also capitalised as it is the main cover story. The picture of the star shows him in character, this can suggest that he is well known and everyone will recognise him. On the other hand, this edition may only be aimed at fans of this film series however the other stories on the cover suggest that this magazine has a wide audience. For example, the Harry Potter story also suggests that this magazine is aimed at children and teenagers as apposed to the more adult film. The colours red and white go well together and suggest danger, the red tinge over the picture also suggests this. The other cover stories that I have not mentioned are a very small font which can make it seem as though they are not relevant and the other stories are more important. The tagline for this magazine 'the UK's No.1 movie magazine' implies that this magazine is the best of all of the film magazine and is a good way to market the magazine. The word 'HANNIBAL' suggests cannabalism and the phrase 'back for one last bite' gives the audience a hint of what the film is about.
